Shelton Quarles' IMPACT Foundation

Shelton Quarles makes an IMPACT

The mission of Shelton Quarles’ IMPACT Foundation is to provide resources and opportunities to at-risk single parent families throughout the Tampa Bay area.  The signature program of Shelton Quarles’ IMPACT Foundation is Home Blitz. At-risk single-mom families are selected each spring to receive a complete home makeover, including more energy efficient updates. The families are sent away on vacation as their houses are transformed, including new furniture, interior design expertise from Studio M and household items and accessories.

Since 2004, Shelton Quarles’ charitable efforts have raised over $600,000, and provided assistance to at-risk single parent families throughout the Tampa Bay area.

VIP YMCA FUNdraising Event at Ferrari of Tampa Bay

VIP YMCA Fundraising Event - Panache Vue MagazineOn March 3, 2011, the Greater Palm Harbor Branch of the YMCA of the Suncoast, held its 4th Annual VIP Fundraising Party at Ferrari of Tampa Bay.These fine automobiles combined with great food, drink and of course the more than 125 attendees, all made for a fun and exciting evening!

All funds raised from the party help to support the Y’s 2011 CommunitySupport Campaign. This is a program that allows the Y to continue to not turn anyone away who cannot afford to pay. Last year, the Greater Palm Harbor Y provided much needed assistance to over 1,300 individuals and families in our community participate in YMCA programs and services. This year, our goal for our campaign is to raise $90,000 and the VIP Party raised just under $20,000 towards that goal.

Featured at this party were three individuals who receive assistance and whose personal story helped to convey how meaningful this program is and how it has made such an enduring difference in their lives! We know that in our challenging economy, there are so many who need assistance and this program impacts so many right here in our community.

The Y would like to thank the many generous volunteers, donors and sponsors that helped with this event including; Carrabba’s Italian Grill,Great Bay Distributors, B-21 Wines and Spirits, IM Events, and SMU Productions. If you are interested in this program or would like to learn more about the Y, please contact Executive Director, Randy Nilsson at rnilsson@suncoastymca.org or visit our website at www.ymcasuncoast.org.

On December 5th, 2010, Conforti Chiropractic and Wellness, Inc. in combination with Panache Vue’ Magazine and Born to Ride Magazine held Kyanna’s BBQ Bash to benefit a localfamily with a very special little girl. Kyanna Olampo was diagnosed with leukemia and is currently undergoing treatment to eliminate the disease. Her mother and father along with her sister Bekah and her brother Donovan are holding her hand as this little girl puts up a big fight. At the event, there was great food, live music from the Black Honkeys, raffle prizes, games, a live auction, and a whole lot of people with huge hearts. Through the event Conforti Chiropractic raised over $10,000 for the Olampo family to help them with their fight.
