PV: What sets you apart from your competition?
Casey: I love to entertain people and am not shy or nervous in front of large groups.
PV: What do you do for fun?
Casey: I LOVE to cheer! (I cheer for the Westchase Colts), play volleyball, piano and of course sing!
PV: Who or what is most important to you personally or professionally?
Casey: My family is the most important thing in my life!
PV: A little secret about you that would shock those who don’t know you.
Casey: I can sing with my mouth shut!
PV: What are your personal and professional mottos?
Casey: My parents always tell me and my sisters and brother that we can do anything that I set my mind to and always treat other people how I want to be treated.
PV: When you were a little girl, what was your dream to be when you grew up?
Casey: To be a famous singer and actress…that’s still my dream!
PV: Have you achieved some of your dreams thus far?
Casey: I am on my way to achieving them…I sang the national anthem at the Tampa Yankees and the Clearwater Threshers games! It was so much fun! I also won the Italian Idol contest for 2011 here in Tampa!
Casey Banales is 11 years old and lives in Westchase. She is a 6th grader at Cambridge Christian School here in Tampa. Casey loves to sing! She has won the Tampa Italian Idol (featured in Ybor at the Italian Festival) when she was 8 years old and again this past year at age 11. She has been in Standing Ovation, a vocal group under the teaching of her singing coach Jennifer Ochoa-Rowland for the past 5 years. Casey loves to act also and has been in many productions in the Westchase Community Theater. She has recently been singing the National Anthem and has performed it at the Clearwater Thresher’s and Tampa Yankees games. She also enjoys cheering for the Westchase Colts, playing piano, and playing volleyball for Club Storm. In 5 years Casey hopes to be on American Idol and in 10 years she hopes to live in New York performing on Broadway!
